Boys and Girls of St. Hilary Are Invited to Become Altar Servers
The Mass is the highest, most important form of prayer given to us by God and the Church. The talents and abilities of many people, including children, are needed for the Mass to be appropriately beautiful and fitting for the worship of Jesus Christ.
At St. Hilary, altar servers are Catholic boys and girls from either the Parish School or the Religious Education Program, grades 5 and up. They assist at Sunday morning/Saturday evening Masses, as well as First Friday evening devotions, Stations of the Cross & Benediction during Lent, weekend weddings and funerals. Those who attend St. Hilary School also assist during weekday Masses at 8:30 AM and weekday funerals. They are excused from classes for this purpose.
If you are interested in serving, please contact Fr. Olsen (773) 561-3474
