Music Curriculum

Program Description
As a student enters pre-school, he/she is introduced to music appreciation and music theory. He/she will continue in the program through eighth grade. Students learn elements of music, music theory, the families of instruments and the history of classical and jazz music. The depth of study increases with each grade level.  Students are taught mostly using the methodology of music teaching philosopher, Zoltan Kodaly.

Highlights of the Program
Instruction in playing the recorder, band, pep band, choral ensembles and presentations, school musicals,
holiday concerts, bell choir and Children's Choir in conjunction with St. Hilary's Parish
Music Director.
