When students are recommended for Remedial Reading, the classroom teacher generally lists skill areas of need for each student. The skills range from alphabet recognition, consonant-sound correlation, short and long vowel sounds, to reading sentences/stories and creative writing. Students work in a small group with the teacher everyday.
